A 3D Tech Product Launch
In partnership with Voke Studios, Summer Break was called up for some classy, vibrant, and sleek 3D tech renders of Cosmo's upcoming product launch of the JrTrack 3 Smart Watch. Starting in sleek silhouette then bursting into light, we explored a number of animations, lighting setups, textures, materials and even a little bit of liquid simulation - ultimately creating a hell of a product launch video.
First we started with the look development - experimenting and testing lighting setups and materials. Initial conversations about the art direction had us more in the dark space, in the cosmos. The watch and band were dark, high gloss, shiny like a star in space. Only later did we find that the product would have a more matte finish with colorful bands so we dialed back the darkness and brought it down to earth.
Moving into production we had a number of setups to showcase the watch. We had to really show off the touch screen applications through screen replacement and tracking. We had to show off the variety of colors the bands come in. And of course show off the fine details of the product through close ups and motion.
