Nothing says 'Merica like a Budweiser Freedom Can
Another collaboration opportunity with draftLine presented itself. This time it was about an upcoming product launch for Memorial Day 2022. Presented with a simple storyboard, we worked together for an internal teaser – showing the people at their annual company wide conference. It was such a hit, we returned to format the video for broadcast and social media. It was a great collaboration proudly showing on TV, streaming and social media!
It started with a simple storyboard, teasing the new can in the dark, edged by red and blue. Close-ups of the reflectivity, art and condensation without revealing the name until we burst into light, showing the new name "Freedom" presented before the American Flag. The spot was a study of material, light, and shadows to accentuate the product.
The Look Development phase was the real point of attack. We explored many lighting setups to really hone in a look that is a heightened version of photo-realism. It's not a photoshoot so it needed a premium CG feel. The Condensation was achieved with X-particles over the span of a couple weeks to really get it looking the way we wanted. Cold, refreshing, straight from the cooler without the chunky ice, ready to quench your thirst and ultimately boost the attention of the new name and label!
